"Constellation Landscapes" New Works
Following an almost sold out show in February at the Town Hall Gallery, Hawthorn, artist Efrossini Chaniotis presents audiences with starry night landscapes where figures float, sing and swim and arabesque trees whisper intimate mysteries about love and the spirit. The artist's unique sculptural dolls and paintings will feature at Apte for the month of June.
Effie studied sculpture, installation and performance art in South Australia. She went on to study in European art schools, specialising in painting and drawing.
Whilst studying Fine Arts in Greece, Effie was a member of a Byzantine iconography guild and a theatre set assistant. She has worked as an illustrator, graphic designer and interior designer. Effie has also made mural art for schools and retail shops, and facilitated creative expression workshops.
